The Novelty has Died Down...

I've been neglecting my blog...

Yep that's the whole truth... i'm not like Daniel..i have to respect that guy.. his blog is awfully updated.. it's just.. the Novelty of owning a blog of my own is beginning to die down.. what with having to fight for the internet with my ever-gracious-and-lovely cuz TAMMY... it's too troublesome.. i had to kick her off the chair today to have these few precious moments of the computer to myself...

Where to start?? i did so many things i can't even remember which...

Ha-hem... ok.

Had a henna design done on the 29th of January...it was for Jaime's wedding which you will read about soon.. in the next paragraph.. it was really cool.... me and tammy had it done in Plaza Metro Kajang.. the hippest place in town.. about the next best thing to Midvalley.. where all the Malay punks hang on.. it's their heaven.. their Mecca.. Cost me RM12 to do it from my finger right down to my wrist.. and Tammy still hasn't paid me back the money yet.. hmm... what to do?? Henna.. the alternative to a tattoo.. no pain, all gain, and only takes 20 minutes to complete an intricate design..costs about 1/10 of the price of a tattoo too..

Our henna-ed hands...!! the one on top with the circle design is mine whilst the other's Tammy's.. really cool flower she's got there.. DARN!

Tammy's hand.. right after the lady finished it..

Attended my cousin's wedding dinner... Ah Loong ko-ko aka Jaime has just gotten married to Bee Pheng jie-jie aka Bee.. about 6 months ago in London.. i was supposed to go to their wedding reception in London but i turned the offer down cos of all my stupid assignments from college and also the urge to answer the call within me to attend a course in Outward Bound.. yep.. you can shut your mouth which fell open.. i turned down London for homework and some mosquitoes..

One of many statues found in Tamarind Springs...exotic+asian=amazing

One word.. DIVINE!

Back to the picture.. they had their second reception in KL for the malaysian and singaporean relatives who couldn't make it to London eg Melanie.. the dinner was at a fancy restaurant called Tamarind Springs located somewhere near Ampang... nestled in the hills.. it's a Balinese concept kinda restaurant.. open air..lotsa jasmine flowers strewn all over the place... it has great Indo-chinese food too... the Sour Chicken and Coconut Soup is the best.. i tell ya.. took loadsa pics there.. everyone was happy.. Ah Loong ko-ko definitely was.. hahahaha..Tamarind Springs is the sort of place that a boyfriend will bring his sweetheart to.. seriously, it's THAT good.. the whole ambience thing was amazing..really romantic.. but the price was amazingly sky-high too.. so if you're not a generous person or someone who earns a lot.. i wouldn't recommend that place... but it's still really good though.. check out the pics and see for yourself..

Me and Tam in the Car on the way to Tamarind Springs... trying to be posers but failing desperately..

Was bored in the car.. When are we gonna get there??

The main entrance to Tamarind Springs...impressive, ey? Don't look like an entrance to a restaurant at all...

Me and the Tim-tam in front of the restaurant.. all dolled-up

A section of the restaurant...the stairs leads down to a swimming pool area

Me and David being grouchy.. couldn't Cham Char..

Some time in the middle of dinner.. tammy driving me nuts..

The happy couple...Loong and Bee

The next day we had a bbq at my place... a family affair.. it was the first time in about 10 years that about 75% of the Chiew clan gathered in a place to talk and eat... the people that came were Uncle Choy+Auntie Sow Eng, Uncle Bob+the whole family, Uncle Cheong+Aunt Jessie, Loong ko-ko+Bee, my grandma, me and my parents.. a big crowd.. there were 14 of us altogether.. loadsa food that we couldn't finish: satay, bbqed chicken, sausages (oooh.. these were really nice but some were the fat ones and eating them just made you look really obscene..if ya know what i mean), yee-sang, leftover food from the wedding dinner, cherries, oranges, mini-pears.. loadsa alcohol that was passed around.. yours truly was the bartender for the night.. had fun mixing the drinks.. hmm.. maybe i should work as a bartenfer in Sydney... anyway, a lot of stories were circulating around.. a lot of stuff we didn't know of the generation before mine.. really funny anecdotes... a family get-together is the best place to dig out the dirt, i reckon....

Icon of Kajang: SATAY!

Everyone.. LOU SANG!

Yours truly.. the Impromptu-New-Breed-of Bartender...

Rarely do we get to have the whole family together...they're always somewhere else... like in Australia, or the States or in UK... i must say that it was really fun.. i never knew that there were so many naughty stories about Uncle Bob.... Grandma was really happy.. i guess just seeing 4 out of her 8 grandchildren is enough for her.. usually it's just little-ole-filial me... hahahaha..

One big Happy Family!!

Today.. went to Petaling Street to buy shoes.. managed to get 2 pairs... Adidas.. looks exactly like the original.. i swear.. these people are getting better and better each day.... not really satisfied though.. prolly i'll go hunt for more some other time...

What more to add? Nothing.. so signing off now! Till i beat Tammy off the computer again...
